10 months!

Wow, trying to get this boy to be still long enough to get a couple good shots is a workout!! Oh my! Here was the best I could do this past Wednesday. Keith came home in the middle of our session after being gone a couple days so that made it harder too. He was excited to see his daddy! (His sisters were too.) 10 months old Showing us his toy...he LOVES to show us whatever he is holding (and doesn't want you to take it!) I asked AC to come over and try to get him to smile. It made him even more wiggly. :) This is when he heard the front door... Finally decided to take him off the chair so he wouldn't fall off. Loves playing with anything with wheels...cars, bus, airplane, etc. Love this shot from breakfast. EK trying to share her food with him. I am sure he took it! ;) Can't leave the refrigerator door open for a second... LOVES bath time. He was pretty upset that this bath was for his sisters and not for him. Always interested ...

4th summer of ESY

On Monday, I put EK on the bus around 7:40am to send her to ESY (extended school year). This is her 4th year to go, but it was her first time to ride the bus there. In the past, I always drove her there. For those who aren't familiar with ESY, it's primary goal is to keep special needs students in the routine of going to school and to retain some things they learned the past year. It's very laid-back. They only go Monday through Thursday from 8:30-11:30. For the past 3 summers, EK has had the same ESY teacher. We don't communicate much during the school year, but I decided to e-mail her Sunday afternoon to see if she was going to be with EK again this summer. To my relief, she replied with "YES!". That really made it easier to put her on the bus Monday morning. She has a different bus driver and aide, but they seem nice. EK didn't seem to mind the change and willingly went on the bus with no protest. :) Ms. Jen called me Monday afternoon to fill me in on ...

Starting early...

I took this video while on vacation. The lighting is a little strange and I apologize. It was just too cute that AK was playing catch with me. :)

Trip to UT....part 2

I am a little behind on posting...we have VBS at our church this week so it's been BUSY!! On Sunday, June 3rd we met up with 16 others from our church to help Desert Ridge Baptist Church host a VBS and a baseball clinic. Another church in the area (First Southern Baptist Church of SG) helped with VBS too. Hope and I taught the songs to the kids. We had a lot of fun! Keith helped with the baseball clinic. He said after the first morning that it really made him miss coaching. I'm glad he was able to share the gospel while teaching about baseball! AC attended VBS. EK sat on the back side of our sit and stand stroller and watched me teach the songs. She did really well. Between our groups, I'd give her a drink or a snack. If I hadn't buckled her in, she would have run off so I'm thankful that she was content to just sit and watch! AK hung out with Ms. Linda from our church. I am very thankful for her! I wouldn't have been able to teach the motions to the songs wit...

Trip to UT...part 1

I'll break our trip into two posts since it was part vacation/part mission trip. :) We left for Utah on Memorial Day. We drove all day and spent the night in Albuquerque. The hotel stay was the most stressful part of the trip for me. I worried about it for days beforehand about how I would get Andrew and Emma Kate to sleep in one room. Andrew is a horrible sleeper (up a couple times a night) and EK takes a while to go to sleep (and that's in the quiet of her own room). By the grace of God, Keith got EK to sleep in about 20 minutes and AK fell asleep while nursing. I got a few hours of sleep that night. We got to St. George around dinner time on Tuesday and went straight over to our friends' home. Aubrey had been eager to see the Waldrop boys for months! They all went right to playing. :) Their backyard was fenced in from the pool and perfect for EK to do some walking. AK was happy to be out of the car! After an hour or two, we drove over to our condo. It was perfect ...
