Memorial Day weekend
I am so thankful to live in the USA! I am grateful for the sacrifice that so many men and women have made throughout the years, so that I can experience freedom- freedom that I sometimes take for granted. I don't understand the amount of selflessness that our military have to do service for their country, but consider it a blessing. Lord, help me be more thankful for the freedom I experience right now...knowing that we may not always have it. We enjoyed being with family today. This morning Keith and I took the girls to the playground. Even though it was pretty warm, the girls had a great time. It was so nice to have another set of hands there! :) Normally, I'm outnumbered! AC made a couple friends there and EK is getting better on the playground equipment! Tonight we went to my parents for dinner. We had chicken spiedies (a nice touch from our hometown in upstate NY), along with lots of yummy sides and strawberry shortcake for dessert. EK behaved really well! She lasted 2 1/2 ...
