I don't want to forget....

Little man found the mop and started cleaning the floors. :) Adorable and helpful! What a great combo!  

      I am not sure how I was blessed with a daughter like AC. She definitely has her drama moments, but most of the time, she is such a help to me! She loves to organize. Yes, you read that correctly. On Saturday, Keith hooked up the DVD player and TV upstairs in the playroom. I found a box of movies and asked AC to put them in the cabinets for me. The next thing I know, she had 3 piles going: Daddy's movies, Mommy's movies and kid movies. She even gave us our own section of the cabinet! When she was done with that box, she asked if I would make her a chore chart. She said she could mop, vaccum, pick up the toys, do almost anything but cook. HA! :) Love that girl to pieces!!  

Last night, I was trying to make sure I had everything in order. I wanted to have EK's lunch and drink ready to put in her backpack, I had her clothes and shoes laid out. I knew where the water  bottle, hair brush and rubberbands were. I had her bag of pull-ups and wipes by the door. We had her in bed by 8pm last night and she slept until I had to wake her up at 6:20am. The bus driver called over the weekend to say he'd be there around 7am! Normally, Keith and I tag team to get her ready. It really helps to have an extra set of hands, especially if AK decides to wake up in the middle of our routine. :) I was on my own this morning though. (Keith has an accountability group with several guys at 6am on Mondays.) I was a little nervous about getting back into our routine, but I'm proud to say "We did it!" EK ate all her breakfast. Oh my! It really happened! A whole year has passed. CRAZY!! Stay tuned for cake pictures. We are combining AC's and AK's birthdays into one big family party next weekend. :)   Here's my big blue eyed boy!! He LOVES to feed himself now and wants to eat what we're eating. He'll eat some baby food still (which I like b/c I can know how many calories he's getting), but he eats a lot of finger foods too. Silly boy looking out the window instead of at Mama. Paper is VERY interesting to this boy. Well, many things intrigue him. Curious is definitely a word I'd use to describe him.   "Oh, mom, you're still there with the camera"  Being silly! Laughing at Grandma and AC This is how I get him to stay seated in his high chair. We have a wooden chair like you see at restaurants. Well, even being buckled, the boy could wiggle around and stand up. One time, he climbed up onto the table. Scared the living daylights out...

Oh my word! This boy never ceases to amaze me. My girls were late walkers, around 15 months. I just expected the same from little man. He had other plans and is quite proud of his accomplishments. This boy is a dare devil and keeps me on my toes. He learned how to climb stairs the first day we were in the new house. Thankfully he also figured out how to safely come back down. (Totally impressed!)  I have found him standing on the little rocking chair several times in the past few days. I am just waiting for our first trip to the ER. I know it will be sooner rather than later. My girls were (and still are) pretty cautious so this is a whole new realm for me. Those of you who have boys are smiling right now, aren't you?

I cannot believe that EK is almost done with ESY. Seems like the regular school year was just finishing and now she's completed 6 weeks of ESY. WOW! It has been very helpful to have her at school for the mornings this summer. I have been able to run errands with only 2 kids and the past couple weeks, I was able to pack up the old house, move to our new house and begin to get settled in here. I was trying to wean her off her ADHD medication b/c I just don't know what side effects could happen with prolonged use. (Plus I really didn't think it helped her focus any this past school year.) Her ESY teacher could tell when she had it and when she didn't. I have her on half the regular dose so we'll see what the next couple weeks are like. Another factor to throw into her different behavior is her teeth. I took her to the dentist a couple weeks ago. He saw 3 new cavities and that she had ground a hole in her stainless steel crown. (WHAT??) She also lost a filling. To say ...

I was excited for AC to take swim lessons this summer. She really likes the water and is at the perfect stage. She isn't too scared so she is willing to try new things. However, she is cautious. I imagine AK will be my dare devil. One of my friends from church taught the lessons. AC did really well! Excited for her to learn more next summer! I missed the beginning of her swimming, but you get to see a little.

We are so thankful for our new home! We moved in on Monday (Several sweet ladies from church were HUGE helpers!) and are SLOWLY settling in. Aubrey told me yesterday "It feels like we're just visiting. Once we unpack everything and hang things on the walls, then it will feel like our home." That's true little girl. Unpacking sure takes a lot longer with 3 little ones around. And one day, I will be able to park the car in the garage. It won't be in the next couple days though. :) More pictures to come!

AK turned 11 months on July 20th. Helping Mommy and Aubrey pack (kinda...really he was taking things OUT of the box). Ha! I found him in the living room by himself one morning. He was just as content as could be in the beanbag chair with the remote control. It starts early, I guess! :) The silly face he makes when he is proud of himself. He loves climbing on Aubrey's toddler bed and thinks he's quite the big boy. Playing peek a boo on the bookcase He was feeling like his mama. So sick and tired of all the boxes around the house! He loves to put phones up to hear ear and say "hello". It's obviously not that clear but he tries to say it. He also doesn't have to just use a phone. Anything that looks remotely like a phone can be placed up by his ear. CUTE!! Something he got into while Mommy was trying to pack up a couple boxes. Thankfully it was a washable marker!
