I don't want to forget....

Last Thursday EK got an award for Integrity from her teacher. It was a big pep rally to congratulate several 3rd and 4th graders. AC and I went to cheer EK on. (As a side note, I was so impressed that she sat quietly the entire time..at least from where we were sitting.) We love our EK! She is such a sweet girl with a contagious smile and giggle. However, there are many challenges that come along with having a special needs daughter. There are things I worry about that I don't with my other three. Since she can't tell me if something hurts or is bothering her, I have to go on symptoms I see or odd behavior. A few weeks ago it looked like she'd chipped an eye tooth so I took her to the dentist earlier this week. She indeed did but he said it was ok. He was willing to file it down if it was cutting her tongue or lip. Since it's not, I decided to hold off the traumatic experience. Eventually we'll have to put her under again for dental work and he can file it th...

AK is playing baseball this spring. Considering he's never played before, he's doing well and he likes it...which was a hesitation of mine. I'm glad they are teaching them but also making it fun. I like watching my boy play. He's getting more confident each week. Two weeks ago he won the sportsmanship medal and we got a sign for the yard. He was SO proud! Love this little guy!

They love each other a lot! The only reason we got any pictures of these two was b/c C was willing to share her fruit snacks. :)

Happy Easter from the Sanders family! It's crazy to look back at Easter pictures even a year ago. My kids are growing up! Thankful we serve a risen Lord! :)

EJ loves music and enjoys sitting at the piano to play or just listen while AC or I sit to play. She's a little bossy about it too. "Au-bee, sit here!"  Later I was trying to get a couple pictures of EK and her sisters came in the room to make her smile. Not a bad picture of my three girls! EK loves when they are silly with her. EJ kept running over to give her a kiss but I never could get a good picture of it.

A few weeks ago AC looked so pretty in her dress that I decided to take a couple pictures of each of my kids. They are growing up and changing so quickly. (Individual pictures are less stressful than one of the four of them..Ha!)

We don't have a baby in the house anymore. EJ turned 2 on January 30th. She is full of personality...super sweet at times and a big attitude other times. Maybe it's because she has older siblings or maybe it's just that she has a strong will. She knows what she wants. ;) She's talking up a storm and is persistent to help me figure out what she's saying. She loves playing with baby dolls, doing puzzles and playing outside. She also loves to do anything that big brother and sister are doing. She's really good at coloring and wants to be included, even if it's not age-appropriate. Something I'm sure we'll struggle with in years to come since she and AC are over 7 years apart. AC is usually very patient with her and a GREAT big sister. There are times that she wants AC rather than me and it's awesome to have help. :) She got a new Barney DVD and was SO excited to watch "Ba!" She loved us singing to her and she did great at blo...
