EK's new communication device

Last fall, we were able to try out a communication device called a tobii. It uses two cameras to see where she is looking to make a choice. Our private speech therapist helped us get one for EK. We have had it for a little over a month now and she's getting better each day. Her teacher is using it right now for a few things. One thing she's having her do is sort food items that belong in the pantry or refrigerator. I got to see her sort at speech therapy and it was so neat! At home we mostly use it to allow her to choose her snack. Hoping we can work on it more this summer. Speaking of the summer, we're looking for a new helper for EK. Our awesome helper from last summer is doing something else (ABA therapy at a center). I was quite anxious about it for a week or two, but one of EK's first school teachers gave me a great lead. I'm hoping to hear back from her in the next couple weeks to discuss details and have her meet EK. Pray that it works out with this young lady! It'll be good for EK and the rest of us. :)
