18 months old!
At his well-check he weighed 25 pounds (40%) and was 32 1/2 inches long (50%). In keeping with tradition, his head is 19 1/2 inches (80%).
My baby isn't a baby anymore! We call him "big boy". He tries to do everything AC does. The other morning he came into the bathroom where I was getting ready with a bowl of fritos and a spoon. I imagined what kind of mess I would find in the kitchen. There wasn't one though. He got the bag of fritos from the pantry, carefully took fritos out of the bag and placed them in his bowl. Not sure why he had a spoon. :) He is a silly boy and he's always getting into something!! He is daring and tries things my girls never dreamed of doing, like climbing on the table or the piano. At the same time, he is sweet and cuddly and already helping around the house (like putting trash in the trash can and putting his plate and fork in the sink when he's done).
He loves to play peek-a-boo. He loves bubbles and balls and cars. He is a great eater and uses a fork well. Using a spoon in a little harder. AK learns new words every day. He babbles a lot and most of the time I don't really understand him. It helps when he points to what he's talking about or brings the object to me. He follows directions pretty well and is learning body parts. So far he knows nose, eye, hair, tongue, fingers and belly. He is really quick at figuring out puzzles and shape sorters. You show him once and he can do it. He loves to read books.
Words that he says that I do understand: ba-ba (sippy cup), pease (please), sissy, dada, mama, cookie, ka-ka (cracker), cup-corn (popcorn), ka-ka (is also socks and shoes), bi-ber (diaper), baby (Baby Babble dvd), melmo (elmo), ba (ball), ba (can also mean bath), bu-bu (bubble), ooh, chee (cheese for pictures), pu-pu (puppy), ba-ba (bye), berry (for all berries), ker-key (turkey)
So thankful for this little boy! It's hard to remember what life was like before he came along! :) Love him so much!
