The many faces of EJ

Image
This girl is quite a ham and rather dramatic! She knows what she wants. ;) She loves to talk on the phone when no one's on it. If someone's trying to talk to her on the other end she just stares at the phone.  Her beautiful curls. Reminds me a lot of AC at this age.

Upward Soccer

Image
AC has been asking to play a sport for a couple years now. To be honest, I put her off b/c I just wasn't ready to add that "extra" to our family life. It's hard to keep up with both EK and EJ outside of the house. Keith and I talked it over this summer and felt this was a good fit. It's one practice a week, one game on Saturday morning before lunch, and the season is over the first week of November. I've been happy so far. AC is really enjoying it and I'm thankful it's not competitive. They are there to learn the game of soccer, good sportsmanship, and have FUN. Her coaches are great and she's made some new friends. :) It was fun to see how much more aggressive she was today (2nd game) than last week. Today she also played her best friend's team. :) Hugging her BF during the game. Ha! :)  Great friends since preschool! Our field was right by the big pile of dirt today so you know where AK spent most of his time. Need o...

9 years old!

Image
This beautiful young lady turned 9 on Tuesday. I sometimes can't believe it! While life is busy and the days are sometimes so long, the months and years fly by.  It doesn't seem like too long ago, she was this age! We are so thankful for our precious girl! She's a blessing to me, her Daddy and her siblings. She's smart, helpful, kind, responsible, takes initiative, and most of all loves Jesus. Here are some questions I asked her: What is your favorite color? turquoise What is your favorite food? chicken pot pie What is your favorite treat? kiwi strawberry Snapple What is your favorite subject in school? writing What is your favorite sport? soccer What is your favorite hobby? legos What is your favorite movie? Brave What is your favorite tv show? Odd Squad What is your favorite book? Whatever After series What is your favorite animal? dolphin What is your favorite song? Trust in You What is your favorite restaurant? Joe's Pasta and Pizza Wha...

Happy Birthday AC!

We love legos!  And she wanted the game Battleship More legos! She loves Adventures in Odyssey! So hard to believe this precious one is 9!! What a beautiful young lady she's turning into and a huge blessing to our family! :)

First Day of Preschool

Image
AK started preschool in the monkey class(the oldest 4's) on Thursday. He was so excited! Last year, Keith took AK when he went to work. They hung out in his office for about 45 minutes before heading down to preschool. It worked out so well so AC and I could start school around 8:30 and not have to stop 30 minutes later to take AK to school.  Here's our sweet boy! It's hard to get a natural smile so after this picture I asked him to tell me a joke. Hence, this picture. :) Can't believe this boy is growing up! I'm slowly learning how to be a boy mom. It's sure different from being a mom to girls, but I'm thankful for this boy. He's funny, helpful, smart, independent, knows his mind (which is challenging at times) and a talker. Seriously, I think he talks more than AC most days. Ha! EJ wanted in on the action. Nice bed head! Sweetie!

First Day of School 2016

Image
We started back to school on Tuesday. I'm just a few days late in posting. EK is at ERE for one more year. We chose to have her repeat 4th grade so she could have Ms. Flood one more year. Later this year, I hope to visit next year's campus and meet the teacher there. (I did find out this week that the diagnostician is a sweet friend from church who's helped out with EK on Sunday mornings for the past couple years. I love how the Lord goes before us!) I don't like change (especially for my girl who can't tell me anything about her day). We love Ms. Flood and EK feels loved and enjoys being there (most days, except when her teacher makes her work hard...she's not a fan.) EK is such a beautiful girl and we love her! It's a great feeling to know she's well taken care of and loved on at school.  Sweet AC wanted to have the same dress as EK and woke up early Tuesday morning(6:15am) to get ready so they could get a picture together. I know EK thought it was...

Drew is 5!

Image
This handsome fellow is five years old today. I don't think I've mentioned this on here but a little over a month ago, he decided he wanted to be called Drew instead of Andrew. Old habits die hard so I still have trouble remembering and he's more gracious these days to come when I call for Andrew. (He wouldn't the first day or two. He'd say "You forgot my name?" Silly boy!) This boy has tons of energy and is definitely ALL boy! He has trouble being gentle with his hands and feet and with his words. We're working on it daily. But he loves big! And when he wants to help, he goes all out, asking what chores he can do to help me. He still asks for a hug and a kiss most nights before he goes to bed. While he wears me out most days right now (really looking forward to the structure of school!), I love him dearly and can't imagine life without him. Here are some things I asked him last night: The best show on TV is "Ninja Warrior". The fa...
