More driving
Day two of our road trip. We made it to Albuquerque last night by dinner time. The time change threw off bed time a little. Didn't get dark until closer to 9, which was actually 10 our time. I knew being in one room and getting both EK and AK to sleep would be the hardest. AK fell asleep around 9 but EK was up until at least 9:30. She was giggling. I guess she thought it was funny that we were all together. I didn't sleep well. It was so quiet (forgot my noisemaker and actually tried to download an app to my phone but it took forever), Andrew woke up around midnight but thankfully went back to sleep about 20 minutes later and EK was wide awake by 5:30! So, the good news is we were on the road around 7.
Keith decided to take a different route. Last year we drove through an Indian reservation going to UT and down to Flagstaff coming home. (There is no shortcut because you have to drive around the Grand Canyon). Today we drove a little out of our way to see the Hoover Dam. Keith did lots of traveling before we were married and has been to many national parks and landmarks. He wanted us to see Hoover Dam. I am glad we did it. It was pretty neat, although SO hot...about 115 degrees. Lord willing we will be to St. George before bedtime. Four states in one day! (NM, AZ, NV and UT)
So excited for your time away! We will be praying for you guys.
